You could run 2 crit damage mods, and then use an elemental damage riven in one of the element slots shown on OP's image. If there were more ways to boost crit stats, crit rivens wouldn't be so crucial to good builds.

And utility mods (like reload speed and zoom modifiers) are FAR more powerful than they are now - because you're literally giving up tons of damage to run them, they have to be worth it.Īnd we need more mods that we can stack when we want to.

Prime Mods exacerbate that last part, because they increase that %boost spread even further.īasically, the only way to 'cure' the mod stagnation is to have a major overhaul done on all mods so that ALL non-broken mods are desirable on certain build types. So if you want to go with anything except A, you have to do so with lower overall damage (which is almost always a worse approach in the game). Mod Choice A will be a 50% damage increase, while choices B C and D represent a 20-30% increase. So you're almost never given a choice between 2-5 mods that are all within 10% total damage of each other. Lacking crit options, multishot is next most commonly desired, or attack speed on some weapons.Īnd finally, the top problem is that mods are not well-balanced against each other. Because when you're stacking a bunch of top end mods together, those are the stats that scale your weapon the most. However, because of #1 and #2, rivens are shoehorned into basically a single role for most weapons. Riven mods are your ONLY option for breaking these rules. So the ONE place that people might have wanted to vary builds around is shut down because mixing status effects is generally bad.Īnd number 3 is, of course, Rivens. Those Corrosive + Fire procs will get in the way of generating slash procs, no matter how much added 'base' damage the mods give you. You don't want a "slash proc" sword that also has 3 element mods. But also, when you're building a status-oriented weapon, you want it to be reliable. Most weapons get plenty of status with just the core mods you'd use in other builds, so there's no reason to vary the builds much. The second problem is how status effects work. Don't use Pressure Point (or the mutually exclusive melee mods) if you can use Condition Overload, because its more efficient to also get crit and element damage. Since you can't stack any specific stats, the best build inevitably will fall down to the single best mod of each category. You can't make a "tons of radiation damage" weapon because at best you can get 4 mods that give the proper elements (and if it isn't a status weapon, you're using some really inefficient mods). What that means is that you can't "build a multishot weapon" by stacking the best multitshot, 2nd best multishot, and 3rd best multishot, even if you wanted to. And in almost every case where there is a 2nd option, the alternate is far inferior. Stay tuned for further coverage and guides, right here at Game Watcher.First, and most obviously, is that each "type" of mod really only has a single option.

We hope this provides you with some direction in how to tackle Warframe's latest and greatest. Umbral Forma, for example, is level 29 reward! You can see what the rewards are for each and every Nightwave level at the top of the feature's interface, which you can scroll to see later level rewards, too.
New items are purchased by spending Wolf Cred tokens, which you get by upgrading your Nightwave level.

Doing so will award you Standing, and for every 10 000 Standing, you can upgrade your Nightwave level. Progressing through the Nightwave is easy - all you need to do is check out the rotating daily and weekly tasks available by clicking the Nightwave banner in the lower right corner of your Starmap, and then organically complete those assignments through regular gameplay. To get their paws on this loot, players must progress through 30 levels of the current Nightwave, each of which grants you a new reward.
The Wolf of Saturn Six is the very first Nightwave, and it brings with it a new boss enemy (the titular Wolf), his weapon, a slew of amazing new mods, cosmetics, assorted goodies, and the legendary Umbral Forma item. These long-term missions will, according to devs, take a few weeks to wrap up, and will provide eager players not only with gameplay-related goodies such as skins, weapons, and - yes - inventory slots, but also with additional lore and backstory. Nightwaves are apparently seasonal thematic missions, featuring special events, enemies, and rewards that may or may not be exclusive to a Nightwave.
